Hello,

I’m Amy, obvs.

I married the love of my life on July 4, 2009. We live in the country with our ten pets. Yep, t-e-n. We work at the same company – where we met. He’s in IT and I work with interior designers. We’re seriously hardly ever apart. We love that.

I think that family is one of the most important things you can have.  I’m truly blessed to have my family. I have supportive parents and brothers. I have some pretty amazing in-laws as well. I couldn’t ask for a more caring or inspiring second family to be around.

Here are some facts about moi:

  1. Brian and I have a collection of El Caminos. We have a 1984, a 1970 SS, and a 1968. (Brian also collects hot wheels ones.) They make us happy and we’ll never sell them. We love driving them in parades and showing them at car shows.
  2. I pretty much always remember my dreams.
  3. The worst job I ever had was working in a liquor store.
  4. I’ve had people tell me that I remind them of Chris Farley.
  5. It’s been featured in the blog a time or two that we have a cougar that lives in the hundreds of acres of state land behind our house. My goal is to get an actual picture of it. If you look at this blog post, you’ll see that I got a picture of its foot print.
  6. I love the smell of hyacinths and freshly mowed grass.
  7. I dream of some day living in Alaska. Perhaps retirement?
  8. I hate it when people say “hubby” instead of “husband.” (Also, “cuppycake” instead of “cupcake.”) Huge pet peeve.

  10. While in school, I was nicknamed “Fluffy” by my friends. They thought I looked like a cat. I don’t see the resemblance.
  11. Growing up, I hated the name “Amy” because it only had three letters.
  12. My favorite book is 1984 by George Orwell.
  13. I can say the Pledge of Allegiance, in its entirety, in French.
  14. Singing in church causes me to reminisce about my high school choir solos.
  15. I’ve never had a sip of alcohol.
  16. Brian was my first kiss. It was glorious.
