Here’s episode 2 of Monster Box.
Hi.
Last week we got a HUGE box. We originally thought to cut holes in it and let the cats play in / destroy it. Then I got a better idea….
I can’t believe that it’s been almost 2 whole months since I posted a blog post. We had a few more complications with my Dad, so life has been busy.
Charlie and Henry are three years old today! I can’t believe it. I remember when they were little fluff balls rolling around. And now they’re such big boys. A lot has changed in those three years though. We’re finally getting into the “lazy” stage in life where they aren’t playing and rough housing constantly.
In celebration for their day, we bought them some watermelon. It’s their favorite treat!
Here are some pictures of them eating their watermelon and running around like crazy!

I hope you enjoyed these pictures of my puppinos. See you later!
Nah, just kidding! But a momma snapping turtle decided the entrance to our garden was a good spot to lay her eggs!
We plan on marking the area so we don’t mow over it. I’m just waiting for the day that I come home from work and find little foot prints and broken shells which should be in about 60 – 90 days! Want more info on snappers? Click HERE.
I’ve been absent for a while and, for that, I apologize. My dad had open heart surgery on April 29th. Before that he was in the hospital because we weren’t sure what was going on.
I had the honor of bringing him home from the hospital on May 6th and it’s a day that I’ll never forget.
These past few weeks have been life altering and nothing could have prepared me for it. Seeing a parent, who was always the strong one, so vulnerable, sedated, and hooked up to a breathing tube was literally the hardest thing I’ve had to experience. I have never witnessed my father so vulnerable. He’s had serious surgeries before, but I was so young that I guess I didn’t fully understand the severity of the situation.
Now he’s on the mend and I’m just so incredibly grateful.
I want to thank everyone who prayed for my family. It means a lot to me that people took the time to say a few words of kindness for my Dad. For the past few months my Dad wasn’t himself. And we realize now that it’s because his heart wasn’t working at full capacity. I am just so incredibly grateful that he’ll be back to his old, energetic self in the next couple months.
