I’d like to ask for thoughts and prayers for my Dad right now. He has been admitted into a heart specialty hospital. He will be having open heart surgery sometime next week.

Thank you.

Hey there!
I took this video this morning of Henry in the guest bathroom. He loves playing in there. He hasn’t quite figured out how to push the stopper down to get the water to come out. Pretty adorable, right?

P.S. Sorry it’s dark.

Hi all,
I’ve been testing out videos for my site. I can’t get any to directly upload to wordpress, which is really frustrating at times. I decided to upload them to youtube to share with you.

So, here you are:

Well, you’ll never guess what I got a picture of this weekend.

A lion. I couldn’t believe it.

Just look at how ferocious it is.

We went to the grand opening of the new Cabelas store in Grandville, Michigan. It was pretty amazing.

I know I haven’t posted a blog in a while. We have been busy. We’re all doing fine, but we’ve had some things to deal with. Earlier this week our exterminator came to the house for his bi-monthly check and he suspects we have squirrels living in the ceiling of our basement and he’s 100% sure we have mice living in our upstairs ceiling. (We knew about the mice and thought we had gotten rid of them.) He went all around our house with us and found MORE areas for us to patch up. Hopefully we’re good now.

Michigan weather has been… weird. It’s spring, then winter, then spring, and then back to winter again. I already have robins at my house though. While I know that we need the precipitation, a part of me is just done with the snow. I feel super lazy in the winter. And I just long to be outside to run. Last Thursday is was 41 degrees outside and everything around the office had dried up. I had my hopes up that I could run OUTSIDE after work. I was eager the entire way home. Once I saw our driveway I just knew I wouldn’t be able to; mud everywhere. In other fitness news I bought an elliptical. It’s a nice change of pace! We got a super deal on it at Dunham’s about a month ago. It’s nice having a treadmill and an elliptical because Brian and I can exercise together. 😀

I do have some new pictures to share with you.

Running

This is what it looks like when you sneak up on Henry. Henry loves going from window to window to bark at squirrels. He hates them. A lot.

Ted

Teddy is probably one of the most striking cats I’ve ever had. He’s a total prankster and scares me half to death about 3 times a week.

Isn’t he handsome?

Carlos

Charlie sits on this chair when he wants attention. He will literally pout in this chair if we’re not paying attention to him. I get the camera out, though, and he’s all smiles. Imagine that.

Augustus

We often call Augustus our 3rd dog. He is literally waiting at the door when we come home from work every day. We even take him “outside” just like the other dogs. Only we walk him around the cars in the garage and then bring him back in. He’s in love with the garage. One night he got out into the garage and we found him a while later rolling around like a buffoon under the ’84. He was chattering and everything.

Henry

Henry just sitting pretty. We’re behind on their grooming, so he’s shaggy right now. It took me a long time just to get this picture. He’s usually so animated. (As you can tell from the first picture.)

Pickles

We often describe this look as “staring through your soul” because, honestly, it’s kind of creepy. Pickles loves our Orkin guy and sat by his clipboard for almost the entire duration of his visit.

We’re still alive, though!
